PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Aluminij Industries (hereinafter: “Aluminij” or “we”/„us“/„our“) has an established system for timely and effective response to fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies, aiming to protect the lives of employees, assets, the environment, and business continuity, in accordance with the Fire Protection Law and other applicable regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Aluminij is deeply committed to providing a safe, secure, and resilient working environment for all employees, contractors, visitors, and stakeholders. Recognizing that emergencies such as fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies can pose serious risks to human life, company property, and operational stability, this policy sets out a clear and comprehensive framework for timely, coordinated, and effective emergency response.
The significance of this policy lies in its role to protect human life, safeguard company assets, minimize environmental impact, and ensure Aluminij’s operational continuity even during crisis situations. Through proactive planning, regular training, and continuous improvement, the Company fosters a culture of safety and preparedness where everyone understands their roles and responsibilities and is empowered to respond promptly and effectively.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and business partners within all premises and facilities owned or managed by the Company.
LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORK
This policy is aligned with applicable laws and regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including:
GENERAL MEASURES AND ORGANIZATION
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
All employees are required to participate in regular training on emergency procedures , including fire safety, first aid, and other relevant response measures.
New employees shall receive mandatory orientation training on safety procedures and evacuation.
Training will be tailored to the specifics of job functions and potential risks.
Training effectiveness will be monitored and training materials updated regularly.
PARTICIPATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All employees are responsible for complying with prescribed safety measures, following security procedures, and immediately reporting hazards or incidents.
Company leadership is responsible for providing resources, support, and oversight for the implementation of this policy.
Designated emergency response personnel will coordinate activities and report to management on safety status.
Contractors and visitors must comply with emergency procedures while on company premises.
REPORTING AND FOLLOW-UP
Any incident or hazard must be immediately reported to the relevant Company authorities.
Incident investigations will be conducted to prevent recurrence and improve safety measures.
Lessons learned will be documented and shared to enhance overall emergency preparedness.
POLICY REVIEW
This policy will be reviewed and updated at least every two years, or more frequently if required due to changes in legislation, operational circumstances, or following significant incidents.
