INGOTS
Ingots are produced on horizontal air-cooled ingot caster, with complete automation from start of casting to packing. The line is equipped with a rotary degassing unit, resulting in quality final product.
Aluminij Industries produces quality foundry alloys as mold cast ingots. Alloys DIN226, ADC12, and A380 are used for die-casting and have high castability, low density, high productivity, low shrinking rate, and relatively high strength. These properties make it useful mostly in the automobile industry.
Aluminij foundry alloys are a blend of different metallic elements, often created to enhance a specific characteristic of the material, such as strength and durability. An aluminium alloy typically consists of the latter as the main metal in the blend, often combined with other elements, such as silicon, tin, manganese, copper, and magnesium, depending on the specific application of the material produced. These alloys represent a rising trend across many industries, and aluminium as a base material is seen as the material of the future, due to it being light, durable, and recyclable.
With the right combination of elements, great strength of the material can be achieved, and in some cases, aluminum alloys could outperform steel. Aluminij produces a wide range of aluminum alloys, and their quality is ensured by using high-grade raw materials and a meticulous quality control process.

BILLETS
Aluminij Industries offers a wide range of aluminium alloys all held up to the European standard EN 573-3:2019 Aluminium and aluminium alloys – Chemical composition and form of wrought products. Aluminij PLM13 series billets are produced by semi-continuous vertical casting using Wagstaff technology-AirSlip (Air Casting Process). Billets are later extruded into profiles, bars, tubes and other shapes. The applications vary from construction, automotive, renewable energy and many other industries. The final application of billets depends on the alloy that the billets are cast in.
Materials from which our billets are cast include wrought alloys, with chemical composition stipulated by international standards. Aluminij offers homogenized AlMgSi billets from 6xxx series, one of the most popular alloys with our customers are 6005, 6060, 6061, 6063 and 6082 alloys. 6xxx series provide a wide spectrum of alloys with specific properties for our customers’ needs. Please feel free to contact our sales department regarding any inquiry about any of our 6xxx alloys.
Aluminij produces a special line of billets, which are made from recycled material. The product is subject to customization by customer together with Aluminij's technical inputs. More details on recycled billets can be read at LINK OD Ultimate.
Billets are homogenized in continuous Homogenizing furnaces from HERTWICH, which are also equipped with a UT inspection of the billets. A fully automated and controlled process of UT inspection and gradual cooling of the billets provide a high quality of the final product.
To ensure our billets match international standards for chemical composition, metal from every casting is tested with ARL Metal Analyzers.
The maximum casting length of our billets is 7 meters with diameters as presented in the table below. We offer our customers flexibility with packing types, providing both steel and plastic options.

1XXX SERIES
The most important characteristic of this series is exceptionally high formability, strain hardenable, best corrosion resistance of any alloy group and electrical conductivity.
This series represents commercially pure aluminium, which can range from the baseline 1100 (min. 99.00% Al), to others such as 1050/1350 (min. 99.50% Al) and 1175 (min 99.75% Al).
1xxx series is typically applied in the following processes:
- Electrical conductors;
- Cable sheathing;
- Medical and chemical instrumentation;
- Pharmaceutical containers.
3XXX SERIES
This series is known as manganese alloys where manganese insertions range from 0.5% to 1.8%. 3xxx is of moderate strength, good corrosion resistance and good formability. Alloys from this series are not heat-treatable and are suitable for anodizing and welding.
The base alloys are welded with 1xxx, 4xxx, and 5xxx series filler alloys, depending on their final application.
3xxx series is typically applied for the following:
- Cooking utensils;
- Chemical processing;
- Automative trim;
- Food processing.
5XXX SERIES
This series is known as magnesium alloys where magnesium insertions range from 0.2% to 6.2%. 5xxx series has the highest strength of the non-heat-treatable alloys. It offers good weldability, and as such finds its use in various industries.
These alloys are often welded with filler alloys depending on the magnesium content of the base material and the final application of the product.
5xxx series is typically applied in the following areas:
- Shipbuilding;
- Transportation;
- Construction of bridges and buildings;
- Pressure vessels.
8XXX SERIES
This series main alloying element is tin, but its content can vary in other elements as well. Iron and nickel are used to increase strength without significant loss in electrical conductivity, and lithium alloys have expectionally high strength and stiffness. It offers a combination of properties that are similar to the 1xxx series, although the way it differentiates is its higher strength, better stiffness and formability.
8xxx series is typically applied in the following:
- Bottlecap production;
- Radiator production;
- Aluminium foil production.
ANODES
Baked anodes are consumed in the pot room as conductors, allowing electricity to enter smelter pots with pre-bake cell technologies. Quality prebaked anodes are an essential component in the production of aluminium.
Prebaked anodes are vital for aluminum smelters, and anode baking is a crucial step in their production claim. The baking process is decisive for anode quality and cost, and bake furnace environmental impact. In addition to anodes, anode cover material is also produced in our factory. The production of anodes of other dimensions is possible according to clients' needs.
