APPLICATION
This Policy applies to Aluminij Industries (hereinafter: “Aluminij” or “the Company”) and all employees,
officers, contractors, and business partners acting on behalf of Aluminij.
It is aligned with applicable legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and relevant international standards,
including the ASI Performance Standard (V3) and applicable International Labour Organization (ILO)
conventions.
ZERO TOLERANCE TO CHILD LABOUR
Aluminij maintains a strict zero-tolerance approach child labour.
The Company does not employ children and operates in full compliance with the Labour Law of the
Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which prohibits employment of persons under 15 years of age.
IMMEDIATE RESPONSE
In the event of suspected or identified child labour, Aluminij will:
1. Immediately ensure the child is removed from the work environment and safeguarded
2. Verify age and identity through available HR documentation
3. Ensure appropriate protective measures until competent authorities or legal guardians are involved
ENGAGEMENT OF AUTHORITIES
Aluminij will promptly notify relevant competent authorities, including the Labour Inspectorate and the Centre
for Social Work, in accordance with applicable legislation.
REMEDIATION APPROACH
In cooperation with competent institutions, Aluminij will ensure that any identified case is handled in line with
the best interests of the child.
Remediation measures focus on:
1. Protection and welfare of the child
2. Cooperation with relevant social and child protection authorities
3. Supporting access to education where applicable
4. Implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Aluminij operates in compliance with the Labour Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which
provides that:
1. Persons under 15 years of age cannot be employed
2. Persons aged 15–18 may be employed only under strict legal conditions, including medical fitness
assessment and restrictions on hazardous work, overtime, and night work
PREVENTION AND CONTROLS
The Company ensures prevention of child labour through:
1. Age verification during recruitment and HR onboarding processes
2. Maintenance of complete and verified personnel records
3. Contractor and supplier compliance requirements
4. Regular review of internal HR and recruitment procedures
GRIEVANCE MECHANISM
Aluminij provides internal reporting channels for raising concerns or suspicions of child labour.
All reports are treated confidentially and handled in accordance with a strict non-retaliation principle.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
In the event of any identified issue or suspicion, Aluminij will conduct a root cause analysis and
